BIEL is our waterfront stand and the easiest place to start if you want open sea on one side of you and the city on the other. The container sits right by the promenade, so you are riding within a minute of picking up — no traffic to cross, no hunting for a path.
It is also the only spot that carries the whole fleet rather than part of it, which makes it the one to come to if you want the choice of both scooters, or if you are turning up as a group.
Of the four spots this is the one that keeps the longest hours, and the waterfront is at its best after dark when the promenade fills up and the heat has gone out of the day.

Nearby rides
The waterfront promenade
Wide, flat and open to the sea for its whole length. The ride most people picture when they think about a scooter in Beirut, and the easiest one to do badly-dressed for exercise.
Zaitunay Bay
The marina boardwalk — boats on one side, cafés on the other, and paving smooth enough that you can look around instead of at the ground.
Ain El Mreisseh and the Corniche
Keep going west from the waterfront and you pick up the Corniche, the long sea-facing walk that Beirut actually uses in the evenings.
Downtown and Nejmeh Square
The old centre: Nejmeh Square, the clock tower, the colonnades and the stone streets between them. Best after six, when it empties out.
