Where is the best place to rent an electric scooter in Beirut?
BeeWay rents rental-grade electric scooters from BIEL Waterfront, Beirut Souks and Centreville in Downtown Beirut, and from Zaarour Club in the mountains from June to August. We are rated 4.7 out of 5 from 109+ ratings on Google. Prices start at $10 per 30 minutes and you pay at pickup, in cash or by Whish.
Do I need to book or reserve a scooter?
No. There is nothing to book and no app to download. Walk up to any of our stands during opening hours and ride. If you want to check what is free before you make the trip — or you are coming as a group — message us on WhatsApp and we will tell you what is on the stand.
Where exactly can I pick a scooter up?
BIEL Waterfront: BIEL Waterfront, Downtown Beirut, Monday to Friday 12:00 – 00:00; Saturday 11:00 – 00:00; Sunday 09:00 – 00:00. Beirut Souks: Ajami Square, Beirut Souks, Monday to Friday 12:30 – 23:45; Saturday 11:30 – 23:45; Sunday 09:30 – 23:45. Centreville: Khan Antoun Bey Square, Beirut Souks, Monday to Friday 17:00 – 23:00; Saturday and Sunday 17:30 – 23:45. Zaarour Club: Zaarour Club, Metn District, Every day 09:00 – 18:00 (summer only — june to august).
What does "rental-grade" actually mean?
It means the scooters are shared-mobility machines, built for many different riders a day rather than for one owner and one commute. We check them before they go out, charge them between rentals and service them when they need it. A personal scooter is only as good as whatever its owner last remembered to do to it.
How long does the battery last, and can I ride for longer?
Every scooter leaves the stand charged, and a 30-minute block is well inside what a charge will do. If you want longer than that, just take another block — tell us at pickup, or come back to the stand and extend. For a long ride, or a ride that ends somewhere other than where it started, talk to us first on WhatsApp.
Can you do a group?
Yes, and it is worth messaging first so we can have the scooters ready. BIEL Waterfront carries the full fleet and is the easiest spot for a group; the other downtown stands carry part of it.
Where am I allowed to ride?
Stick to the car-free paving, promenades and squares around whichever stand you picked up from — that is where the riding is good anyway. We will point you at the route that suits you when you collect the scooter, and we would rather you asked than guessed.
How old do I need to be, and what should I bring?
Riders must be 13 or older, and anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian to accept the terms. Bring a valid ID — we hold it for the length of the rental and hand it straight back — and cash or Whish to pay at pickup. There is no deposit and no card machine.
Is the Zaarour stand open all year?
No. Zaarour Club runs on its summer season, so our stand beside the lake is only up June to August. Outside those months, come and find us in Downtown Beirut.
Still stuck? Have a look at the scooters and prices, where to find us or the rental terms. Or just ask us.
